Switch to Clean Energy

A 100 percent renewable energy future is necessary not only for the climate, but also for local communities. Moving away from the current fossil fuel economy can make our communities healthier, reduce pollution, and create more and better jobs.

The municipal buildings of New Haven have switched to 100% renewable energy

Now it's your turn! Follow the steps below to join this important effort.

MAKE THE SWITCH

Thank you for creating a healthier New Haven! Please make the switch to renewable energy. It can be done by both renters and homeowners as long as you pay your own utility bill!

Here are three simple steps to make the switch to clean energy:

1. EXPLORE THE OPTIONS AVAILABLE

(There are a number of options based on cost and percentage)

ARCADIA POWER

...offers 100% renewable energy with a very small surcharge and 50% renewable energy at no extra cost. For every new sign up, $30 goes towards climate change work in New Haven and $20 will be taken off of your next utility bill!

ENERGIZE CT

...offers numerous options from a variety of suppliers

2. CHOOSE YOUR SUPPLIER

(Be sure to have your electricity bill available)

3. YOUR NEW SUPPLIER WILL APPEAR ON YOUR NORMAL UTILITY BILL

*with the exception of Arcadia Power*
